Magical Mystery Tour 

What Sol and I did was add a rainbow and distort it so that it would fit in the back of the car. In order to prepare the photo we took a picture of my car and the sky. Using photo shop we were able to use the sky as the background and place the car in the sky. We were also able to change the color of the car from one solid color to multiple colors. 

Restoring Colored Photos

Original Photo

In this photo we can see that the image is faded and there is not that much color being shown. With the use of Photoshop we were able to transform this old rustic photo into a work of art.

In this photo we can see that Sol and I changed the brightness and contrast to make the photo have more color. We also changed the saturation and hue, along with the color balance. Everything was changed in this photo to make it look better than the original.

This is the original photo of an old man, the color in the photo is too red and can be improved, which is what we did in the same photo below.

Principles of Design

Unity 

This photo shows one of the principles of design known as unity. The photo shows a tree with a sky in the background, both of these belong together as a whole they are both a part of nature, they belong with one another. 

Contrast 

This photo shows an example of contrast. The contrast is exhibited through the differing colors of the Coke can and shrub. The Coke can is is a bright red that is set in the middle of the contrast of the vibrant green of the shrub.

Movement

By changing the shutter speed my partner and I were able to capture a young woman walking calmly to class. We can see the movement on her feet because she is taking steps and we can see the movement in her hands because she is swaying them back and forth.

Patterns 

In this photo we can clearly see a pattern of circles all same distance from each other and all the same size, This is a pattern because there is a continuous theme of circles going on. 

Emphasis

This is a photo of a bed of plants all of them are mostly laying down, but there is one plant that is sticking up and is focused on more than the rest. We can also notice that there is the rule of thirds going on, the leaf is in the center of the photo. 

Balance

This photo shows symmetry within the cones, their color is the same and their positioning is the same also. You can see how it is balanced one cone side by side of each other. 

Surrealist Image Project

This is the photo project that Sol and I worked on we had to take two pictures to create one picture. We used photoshop to make this picture, through trial and error we created a surreal image. 

Photo Assignment #1: Rule of Thirds

My partner's head rests on one of the lines on the rule of thirds grid. His body is centered more to the right but he is the main focus of the picture.
